This is a “new generation” museum. The renovation-extension, entrusted to the Jean-Paul Philippon architectural studio, combines the heritage enhancement of the former episcopal palace with a contemporary extension, highlighted in particular by the transparency of a belvedere. The museum's collections offer a wide panorama, from regional prehistory to contemporary art. The museum is located in the heart of Valence.
